It was during this year that he became a runner up in a US$3,000 Limit Hold'em event featured at the World Series of Poker. He also placed third in a US$2,500 Limit Omaha event that the World Series of Poker conducted in the same year.
The vast experience of Jim Meehan in playing poker paid off in 2003 when he won in a US$2,000 No Limit Hold'em event of the World Series of Poker, which earned him his first World Series of Poker bracelet. What made such event more memorable for Jim Meehan was the fact that he was able to compete with such poker professionals as Kathy Liebert, Mike Sexton, Antonio Esfandiari, and Juha Helppi.
Jim Meehan probably considers 2003 as one of his best years as he also earned a World Championship of Online Poker bracelet when he won a US$500 Buy In Limit Hold'em game, defeating approximately seven hundred poker professionals.
Jim Meehan also dreams of earning a World Poker Tour title someday, although he already experienced reaching the final table and competing against such poker giants as Scotty Nguyen and John Juanda. Well, with his effective style of playing, there is no doubt that this poker professional will earn a World Poker Tour title in the near future. |
